Project Manager

James has been involved in engineering and facility management for over 35 years. He is experienced in multiple hands-on and contract management in the private, federal government and criminal justice sectors. James is adept at the entire building envelope, codes and plant ops. and has managed all aspects of staff management including recruitment, development and leadership. James is also adept at preventative maintenance schedule development; cost management, performance and schedule; and system installation, activation and troubleshooting. Currently, James is performing project management and operational engineering support for CGL across the Southeast region.

What's your favorite part about working at CGL?

This is an easy one – For me it’s genuinely feeling part of a team, a family that has purpose and helps each other. The assurance of knowing that when you’re struggling or stuck, there is always someone just around the corner that is happy to assist and help. A very collaborative and nurturing environment.

Which core value do you relate to the most?

Strive for excellence. I believe striving for excellence rather than settling for mediocracy, is essential for influencing positive outcomes within our environment. Upholding a high standard and delivering our best efforts will benefit our clients and establish standards for others to follow and, by demonstrating dedication to excellence, serves to inspire a culture of hard work and success. Its contagious!

Where in the world would you like to travel to next?

I have been fortunate to have done a little travel abroad, exploring several destinations. The United States, in particular offers so many amazing opportunities for exploration. As a passionate and avid outdoorsman with a deep passion for hunting, my ultimate location is in the Rocky Mountains chasing dreams! A close second would be balloon riding over the “Valley of Kings and Queens” in Egypt!
