Eli has more than 30 years of experience serving public sector clients, specifically detention, corrections and justice, across the country. Since becoming CEO in 2012, Eli has led CGL’s strategic vision of delivering innovative, high quality justice and corrections facilities through the entire lifecycle, from development to handback after 30 years. In less than six years under his leadership, CGL has become the recognized leader in delivering justice and corrections projects designed with the Total Cost of Ownership in mind.

Get to know Eli

What's your favorite CGL project you've worked on?

The new Travis County Courthouse, which we completed with our parent company, Hunt Companies, was a great experience and wonderful example of the impactful services and solutions we can provide to communities when we team up and work together. This was a classic example of our 360-degree justice approach.

Which core value do you relate to the most?

The value I resonate with the most deeply is “Do the Right Thing.” It’s a commitment to integrity, fairness, and responsibility that shapes our corporate culture and our interactions with customers, employees, and the broader community. Doing the right thing makes decision-making in my position easy.

If you could pick one super power - what would it be and why?

I’d like the ability to teleport. I travel a lot for work and teleportation would save me a lot of time and allow me to spend more of that time with employees, clients, and my family.
