Our Expertise

The Georgia Board of Regents (BOR) sought to address their statewide facility maintenance needs and enhance the condition of student housing for nine of the University System of Georgia’s (USG) 26 institutions, which included a collective portfolio of 14,755 beds.

2019

During the summer of 2019, the Georgia Board of Regents (BOR) sought to address their statewide facility maintenance needs and enhance the condition of student housing for nine of the University System of Georgia’s (USG) 26 institutions, which included a collective portfolio of 14,755 beds.

Our team, comprised of Hunt|Pinnacle|CGL, has been working in partnership with BOR and USG since the first quarter of 2020 to provide outsourced FM services to address these needs. Our local maintenance professionals currently handle in-unit service requests 24 hours a day to keep things running smoothly for each of the nine participating institutions and preserve the properties through a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.

2021

In 2021, CGL was tasked with providing facility maintenance services for the on-campus student housing at five state universities throughout Georgia. The universities include

  • Albany State University
  • Clayton State University
  • Fort Valley State University
  • Savannah State University
  • Valdosta State University

The total contract currently encompasses over three million square feet and approximately 13,000 beds. The housing is split 80% traditional student housing and 20% apartment living.

CGL’s team is responsible for day-to-day operations and service delivery, client communications, and quality control. CGL performs regular facilities assessments and conducts frequent routine inspections, and makes repairs with the support of subcontractors and vendors. CGL also manages the implementation of the CMMS work order system to ensure maximum uptime and life cycle of equipment. Our team is responsible for 24/7 response, which includes timely response to emergencies including prioritization and escalation protocol; inspection and evacuation programs for severe weather; and other disaster recovery activities.

Our team also performs regular facilities assessments to ensure all systems are working at the most optimal levels for residents and the universities.
